Anybody remember this passage "You are about to enter another dimension. A dimension not only of sight and sound, but of mind. A journey into a wondrous land of imagination. Next stop, the Twilight Zone!" Book took me back to this type of environment as your dreams are capable of becoming reality were you hooked up to Dr. Shade's dream machine, whom has thoughts himself of broadcasting a signal to murder all in the world but those with the most imaginative of minds. Pretty darn good book with interesting characters making for an entertaining read!Product details

Jake Carter the Nightmare Gallery eBook Kevin Folliard JT Molloy Reviews
Good book. Quite suspenseful; I tried to predict the ending and failed )
There are some descriptions of nightmares, so I wouldn't suggest it for anyone younger than a pre-teen.
I wasn't sure what to expect when reading this book, but I was quickly taken into the world Mr. Folliard wrote. The story wraps you in quickly with likable characters and an incredibly imaginative plot that quickly progresses through each chapter. It's a great read for adults and young adults alike who appreciate clever protagonists, unknown twists and turns, and the use and appreciation of the imagination.
Great, easy read. Recommend for all ages.
This novel successfully tackles big themes (addiction, good v. evil, survival of the fittest, nurture v. nature) with a compelling cast of characters. Even the minor characters have heft. The plot is fast-paced and both surreal and real. Dr. Thaddeus Shade is as darkly charming and fascinating a bad guy as Hannibal Lecter. It's a young adult novel that resonated with me, tho I haven't been a young adult for quite some time! There is only one very minor flaw a certain verb pops up a little too often.
I got this for a friend's 11-year-old son because I didn't know what to get an 11-year-old boy, and he said he really liked it! And this is not the most tactful kid, so that says something. I'm thinking this and other Kevin Folliard books may be good go-to birthday/holiday gifts from now on...
It reads easily and moves quickly while touching on a range of themes including family relationships and friendships, religion/spiritual questions, making choices, and being brave. Five stars!
I couldn't wait to get my hands on a copy of Kevin Folliard's novel, Jake Carter and the Nightmare Gallery. After reading the tales he wove in Christmas Terror Tales, I knew I was going to be in for an adventure. I was not disappointed!! The story kept me so engaged that I was upset when I needed to put it down to take care of other things. Jake Carter is a very likable, familiar 'acquaintance'--maybe even friend. I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a good novel who likes imaginative fiction, from the ages of middle school and up.
This is a gripping tale that grabs hold of you and doesn't let go. Kevin Folliard's novel is filled with imagination and intrigue that is able to weave fun-filled scares with great twists. It's a cross between Harry Potter and the Matrix. The characters go on an inventive and strange journey into dreams where they are able to create their own worlds and face incredible dangers. The story is well-paced and creative. The action is fun and exciting. The descriptions are very cinematic and well-written. And the characters are engaging and memorable. I highly recommend this book for kids and adults who love fantastical worlds and tales of good vs. evil. It's such a wonderfully imaginative work!
